Best places to visit in Southern California that will leave you breathless. When we visited Southern California, we were super impressed. There are luxurious places including Malibu, Santa Monica, and Palm Spring.

You can visit national parks including the Death Vally National Park as well as the Joshua Tree National Park. You can also visit some beaches and enjoy beautiful views.

Malibu

Malibu is a beach city in the Santa Monica Mountains, in Los Angeles County. It is known for its Mediterranean climate and has a 21-mile (34 km) strip of the Malibu Coast.

It is well known for its numerous TV shows and films like “Two and a Half Men,” “Baywatch” just to list a few.

A place to enjoy the virtuoso and great waves, miles of hiking trails, great outdoors, and fabulous stretches of sand.

Many celebrities live here, just look up to the hills above the shoreline, you will see lots of profligate homes including those of famous people.

The Malibu country mart is an outdoor mall fun to visit. Rent a kayak at the Malibu surf shack, you can have a glance from the water while watching for dolphins.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica is a beach city in Santa Monica Bay area in western Los Angeles County. It has a climate of arid sub-tropical.

It has a coastline of 3.5miles and has a soft sand beach. It is well known for its glamorous luxurious beachfront hotels, high-end boutiques, and sophisticated restaurants.

The beach can be divided into two sections namely, the north of the pier and the south of the pier.

The north of the pier is separated from the city by a bulwark and the Pacific Coast Highway. There is also a couple of bridges, walkways, and stairs that provide access to the beach from the city.

Santa Monica pier is in the middle. It draws out from Colorado Boulevard Street and the center of Santa Monica. It has restaurants, an aquarium, and an amusement park and is also home to the solar-powered iconic Ferris wheel.

It offers an all-encompassing view of more than 130 feet, during the dark it’s lit up with over 160,000 lights, it impends above the Pacific Ocean.

The south of the pier has parks, hotels and homes, and parking lots that enclose the beach. The original Muscle beach has gymnastics equipment, a Carousel Park, and the International Chess Park.

Death Valley National Park

The Death Valley National Park is located east of Sierra Nevada. It was first established on February 11, 1933. It has a size of 3,373,063 acres (13650.30 km²) and was designated as a world heritage site in 1984.

The Park boundaries include Saline Valley and a section of the Eureka Valley in the southern section. A section of Panamint Valley in the northern section and Death Valley.

It’s occupied by an arid great basin and Mojave deserts, a diverse environment of salt-flats, dunes, badlands, mountains, canyons, and valleys.

Death Valley is the largest national park in all of the United States. While also being the hottest, driest, and lowest national park.

It contains the bad water basin, the second-lowest point in the western hemisphere at 282 feet (86 m) below sea level.

It is home to many species of animals and plants. Some of them include coyotes, Joshua trees, bighorn sheep, creosote bush, and Death Valley pupfish.

The desert fills with the sea of pink, white, purple, and gold flowers when the conditions are favorable.

The scenic 18-mile drive south from Badwater to Furnace Creek has a lot of beautiful views and amazing salt formations.

Artist’s drive leads to the colorful rock formation called Artist’s Palette, a landscape naturally painted pastel tincture.

Above it is the famous sailing stone phenomenon of stones that weigh over 700 pounds.

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park is located in southeastern California, East of Los Angeles, and near Palm springs.

It was established on October 31, 1994, and has a size of about 790,636 acres (3,199.6 km²). it contains two deserts each with an ecosystem of its own. They are the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Desert.

The Park has two categories of vegetation. A creosote bush desert shrubland that forms the bigger area.

Juniper/pinyon pine potential type with great basin montane forest form on the higher elevations of the western side of the park.

Filled with plants that are indigenous to the region creosote bush, juniper, Joshua tree as well as ginormous boulders that rise to hundreds of feet to the sky. The landscape has a sci-fi appearance.

Palm Spring

Palm Spring is a desert resort city, located in Riverside County. It is found within the Colorado Desert’s Coachella valley. It has a size of 94 square miles (240 km²).

The famous town is known for its 350 days of sunshine each year. It has a wealth of outstanding golf courses, lots of luxurious hotels, and resorts with beautiful pools.

It also has 1,200-acre wildlife and botanical park, 8,515-foot summit of Mount San Jacinto.
