St. Petersburg, FL

St. Petersburg Fl is a city on Florida’s gulf coast. Part of the Tampa Bay area. The weather here is pleasant and warm. It is home to great shopping, restaurants, bars, and cultural attractions. 

The beach is white and wide. It is sunny throughout the year, the warm waters and the sand on your toes will make it more enjoyable. Winter brings snowbirds from the north.

At St. Petersburg, you will find Fort Desoto Park. The place is great for fishing, swimming, kayaking, Dog Park, and bike riding. 

St. Petersburg Pier, a nice place with walkways, tram rides, restaurants, shopping, and open space. Weedon island kayaking has picnic areas and pavilions that you can enjoy as a couple.

Other places include the shuffleboard club, the arts, and Florida Holocaust Museum. If time allows visiting the gardens, sports, the skyway bridge, and many more.

Sarasota

You should not feel left out as a couple because in Sarasota there are a lot of activities for active couples. Myakka River is the largest and oldest in the state park. It stretches across 58 square miles of wetlands, hammocks, pineland, and prairies. 

There are also two lakes, a prime place to enjoy. Water activities such as kayaking, fishing, and canoeing are available.

Nature lovers enjoy the place. You can get all sorts of animals including alligators, roseate spoonbills, nine-banded armadillos, and pleated woodpecker.

 Naples

The place offers exquisite sunsets, incredible shopping, and luxurious waterfront estates. We loved the white sand beaches and championship golf. The place is safe and has a low crime. Arts, culture, and music are a set of opportunities you can enjoy.

There are also outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and golfing. You can’t miss the everglade adventures and airboat rides. The beaches here are public and easy to access.

Naples weather has an average temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Most of the time there is sunshine with July- September being the hottest.

Key West

Key West is famous for water sports, lively nightlife, conch-style architecture, pastel, and historic sites. Walk tours are the best way to see the island’s intriguing homes, courtyards, and gardens. 

At Mallory Square, people gather to watch the legendary Key West sunset. Musicians, street performers entertain you. The Key West butterfly and nature conservatory is a wonderful place filled with tropical plants, birds, and butterflies.

Miami Beach

Miami Beach is well connected by beautiful bridges to the mainland of Miami. The place is home to some of America’s rich and famous. The island city features beautiful sandy beaches. 

The sandy beaches of Miami directly face the raging waves of the North Atlantic Sea. The beach runs all the way from Lummus Park to South Beach Miami.

The city of Miami has a great blend of high lifestyle, art, and history. It is definitely one of the best places to visit in Florida for couples.

Destin

Destin is rightfully famed for its sugar-white sands and emerald-hued waters. It is one of the world’s luckiest fishing villages. The place got its name from its beautiful, clear green water. The beaches have fine, soft sand that kids enjoy building sandcastles as you watch.

There is no shortage of boats there. Many are dedicated to finding dolphins in their natural habitat. There is a boardwalk that stretches about a quarter-mile along the waterfront. The boardwalk is a free activity that can entertain you for hours.

St. Augustine

At St. Augustine, you get Antiquities, historic attractions, and delectable cuisine. You see also the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.

Visitors enjoy the monument that is now well-preserved and marked as a piece of American history. You can climb at the top of the lighthouse to get views of Salt Run lagoon and St. Augustine. 

Couples can witness different activities including ship construction, leatherwork, musket drills, and demonstrations of cannon firing.

You can also explore the St. Augustine pirate and treasure Museum. The Museum displays a variety of pirate artifacts, the world’s only pirate treasure chest, and the Jolly Roger flag. There is a replica pirate ship with a helm and cannons.

Sanibel

Sanibel is an island; half the islands’ land is preserved as a wildlife refuge. The part that separates the island from the mainland is full of fish. You will not miss dolphins, manatees, ospreys, herons, pelicans, and even otters.

There are mangrove islands, shallow seagrass beds where birds feed. Sanibel has easy causeway access. The Island is home to the Sanibel Historical Village and several other interesting museums. One example being Jindong Darling National wildlife refuge.

Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park is one of the largest tropical wetlands. The place provides important habitats for numerous species. Some species that you find are manatee, American crocodile, and the elusive Florida panther. 

Couples can canoe hundreds of miles of water trails. They bike through pine rock lands and enjoy excellent fishing.

Couples can also join a ranger-led hike called slough slogging and waist-deep in the swamp. The mysterious and beautiful mangroves help clean water. The Mangroves help in providing shelter to marine organisms. 

The Mangroves also provide the first line of erosion. Create defense against the winds, waves of tropical storms, and hurricanes. Wading birds also congregate to feed and nest.

Orlando-Walt Disney World

Orlando –Walt Disney World is an entertainment resort. Although the place is frequented by families, you can find something to do as a couple.

The place comprises theme parks, water parks hotels, golf courses, a camp resort, outdoor shopping center among others. You might not want to miss the Pirates of the Caribbean, so real like in the movie.

There is also the Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, Water parks, Holiday festivals, and Dine at Epcot’s World Showcase. The mountain of the magic kingdom, trade pins, and river of light, is very exciting. 

My kids enjoyed Disney springs and the boardwalk among others. There is nothing on Earth quite like Walt Disney World resort holidays. It has 6 parks and over 25 hotels. The place is ideal for kids and adults at any time of the year. 

Some of the areas you can access are the magic kingdom park, Disney’s animal kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Epcot, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park are a cannot miss.
