If there are places not to be forgotten, Colorado is one of them. We had so much fun in Colorado. You really can’t go wrong with a visit there any time of the year. It is true when I say that nowhere in Colorado has a mild winter.

The westerly wind varies from year to year. This makes it hard to predict with absolute certainty whether the winter will be mild or not. Below are some of the cities known to have had mild winters over the years.

CANON CITY

Canon City is also pronounced as Canyon City. It is one of the cities that experiences the mildest winter of what can be called mild. The city is surrounded by mountains which help prevent cold air.

The snow falling in Canon city normally starts in October and continues to April. However, it may extend to several months. Usually, the snow is lighter and drier during winter but becomes thicker and wetter in spring.

The city offers world-class attractions that you can be interested in. The activities there draw visitors from all over the world. Most of them come to see the Royal Gorge Bridge and park.

You cannot miss the unique collection of dinosaur bones and fossils. The Royal Gorge Route Railroad passes through the gorge near the Arkansas River.

If you have enough time, you can visit Skyline Drive, Museum of Colorado prisons, Arkansas River Fishing, and Visit Local Art Galleries.

LAMAR

Lamar is a small town located just about 209 miles southwest of Denver. Due to its mild weather, Lamar has become a commercial center. The city is known for its vast farming and ranching region and is known for its natural and historic resources.

Over the course of the year, the climate commonly ranges from 27°F to 90°F and rarely below 10°F. When we look at the score the best time to visit Lamar for activities during the warm weather is mid-May to early October.

The average percentage of the sky covered by the clouds significantly varies over the year. The clearer part of the year begins around June 10 and lasts for around 5 months.

PUEBLO

Pueblo is located 112 miles south of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. It is near the junction of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek. The area is classified as semi-arid desert land, with annual precipitation averaging 12 inches.

Pueblo receives less snow than the other major towns in Colorado. This is due to its location in the “Banana Belt.”

The climate in Pueblo is steppe with four distinct seasons. Winter days are normally pleasant.  The altitude is high and the sun that comes with it is not very harsh.

Pueblo city is a blossoming town that benefits culture and arts as well as livestock shows and nice exhibitions. The city’s creative corridor runs through three historic areas.

I was surprised because the corridors were filled with galleries, museums, fountains, live music, and other arts festivities.

When looking for an exclusive venue for an event you may want to deliberate over the historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo-the gem of Pueblo.

GRAND JUNCTION

Grand Junction’s winters are short, cold, and partly cloudy. At times it is usually dry year-round. Over the course of the year, the temperature routinely ranges from 20 degrees to 94 degrees. A family friend told me that the temperature rarely falls below 6 degrees or above 100 degrees.

Grand Valley is known for its fertile soil hence high agricultural potential. It is one of Colorado’s largest food producers. Some of the food produced includes peaches, pears, cherries, and corn.

Apart from food production, the Grand Junction area offers unparalleled natural beauty. For outdoor- lovers, Colorado National Monument offers trails for hiking and biking.

There are also incredible views of red rock canyons and stone monoliths extending straight up from the ground.

Grand Mesa is a spectacular flat-top mountain that plateaus near 10000 feet which offers a variety of activities year-round, skiing dominating in winter.

GREELEY

Greeley is located at the confluence of the South Platte and Cache la Poudre rivers. Greeley is about fifty miles northeast of Denver. It was originally an agricultural region with irrigated farmland. Agribusiness is the highest economic contributor.

Winters are cold, dry, and partially cloudy while, summers in Greeley are hot and usually clear. The temperature normally ranges from 15°F to 88°F throughout the year.

The greatest time to visit Greeley for warm-weather activities, according to the tourist record, is from mid-June through late August.
